Missionaries to Paraguay in South America
What a blessing to walk with the Lord on this journey called LIFE! It passes by so quickly and we are in awe of all the Lord has done in our lives over these last few years. We have been reminded on several occasions, through this time, of how temporary things in this life are and it renews the desperation and challenge in our hearts to make the most of every moment that He gives us!!
We had the opportunity to serve as missionaries in Argentina, on the border of Mexico, and for USA/Canada Work and Witness for several years before going to Hot Springs 1st Church of the Nazarene where we served on staff for two and half years. Barry was ordained in 2011 and then we returned to South America where we have been serving in Paraguay and Bolivia over the last few years. It is amazing to see what God is able to do through our obedience. In each chapter He takes us through, each one of us has grown closer in our walk with Him and we have experienced His faithfulness and sensed His presence in every circumstance. There is nothing that brings more joy to our hearts than to see our children walking in faith! Andrew (21), Alex (18), and Alyssa (16) don’t stop growing or eating and provide constant entertainment at all hours of the day. They are a blessing!! In these last few years we have celebrated our oldest child’s (Andrew) graduation from high school and move to Sydney, Australia to study Worship and Ministry.
We are serving in many areas, including church development, finances, work and witness, theological education, pastoring, and district leadership. We are looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us and enjoy the peace and joy that comes with knowing that we are at the center of His perfect will for our lives.
We cherish your prayers and support. You can check out our blog to get the latest updates at (http://carneymission.blogspot.com). We love each one of you and are grateful that the Lord has blessed us by allowing us to have you in our lives, whether it has been for special moments in time or for the long haul through thick and thin. You are in our prayers!
