Adult Ministries International and Continuing Lay Training invite you to the quadrennial AMI/CLT luncheon on Friday, June 26, 2009. As a valued adult ministry leader you will want to hear Dr. D. Michael Henderson speak on the subject of discipleship and greet some of the men and women who have served their church and communities with distinction. We will be presenting each of them with special AMI quadrennial awards.
Our special speaker is Dr. D. Michael Henderson. Dr. Henderson has authored two significant books in the area of discipleship: John Wesley's Class Meeting and Making Disciples-One Conversation at a Time. Both are "must reads" for lay and clergy leaders.
Beyond being a professor and writer, D. Michael Henderson is the founder and executive director of African Leadership, an organization which helps train and equip African leaders for ministry in Africa. Dr. Henderson has pastored several congregations as well as held teaching positions at several colleges including Asbury College. Dr. Henderson holds numerous degrees in both divinity and education including a Ph.D. in education from Indiana University.
