VBS Grants Provide WordAction VBS Materials Around the World

A portion of the Kids Reaching Kids Mission Offering Project is set aside each year for VBS Grants (formerly the VBS Pioneer Program). Since the financial downturn occurred in 2008, a larger number of churches have needed financial help in order to hold a Vacation Bible School. This includes churches both in the United States and around the world.

Nazarene Educators Worldwide is an organization that resources and provides networking for Nazarene educators in public schools, Christian schools, home schools, preschools and early childhood learning centers, the college/university education departments, and global and international schools. There are thousands of Nazarene educators.

Family Movie Review: Shrek Forever After

I didn’t go into Shrek Forever After with very high hopes. The first Shrek film will likely be remembered as one of the most important animated movies of the last 10 years, and the second movie was no slouch either. Shrek the Third, however didn’t make much of an impact on me or many other people. It never justified its own existence beyond the obvious purpose of making more money for Dreamworks. I left the theater in 2007, reflecting that I was probably done with Shrek forever.

WordAction VBS Reaches Beyond an English-Speaking Audience

Global Nazarene Publication, formerly World Mission Literature, works with Nazarenes in every world region to translate discipleship materials into various local languages. The D-Code Challenge, the 2008-2009 Kids Reaching Kids Mission Offering Project, has produced a joint effort between GNP and Children’s Ministries International for the translation of children’s Bible Quizzing materials into Global English, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean and French.

Can We Pledge Allegiance to the Flag?

The Pledge of Allegiance was first published in 1892 in The Youth's Companion magazine in Boston, Massachusetts to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the discovery of America. It was used first in public schools to celebrate Columbus Day on October 12, 1892. The Pledge received official recognition by Congress as an Act approved on June 22, 1942. The phrase "under God" was added to the Pledge by a Congressional act approved on June 14, 1954.
